Farm Animals iPSC Reprogramming Service

Farm Animals iPSC Reprogramming Service

Direct reprogramming has now been applied in farm animals and has transformed the establishment of pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) in many animal species around the world. The iPSCs generated from different types of somatic cells through multiple cell reprogramming strategies represent an ethically acceptable, virtually unlimited and individual-specific source of pluripotent cells. Reports have proposed that iPSCs generated from farm animals would provide an unrestricted source of cells for studying embryonic development and cell differentiation, screening traits required for sustainable agricultural production, and as therapeutic tools for animal and human diseases. Thus, domesticated animals-iPSCs are of great scientific, economic and social value.

Moreover, there is a need to assess the survival potential, functional integration into tissues, and genetic stability of reprogrammed cells to accelerate the application of iPSCs in human transplantation therapies. Therefore, it is important to develop animal models that can be used in preclinical studies. Since more similar physiology and characteristics of pluripotent cells to humans, the development of domestic and non-human primate models appears to have great prospects in transferring iPSC-based treatment procedures from rodents to human medicine.

Our Services

In view of the huge application potential of iPSCs in the fields of agriculture, medicine, and biotechnology, researchers at Creative Bioarray focused on mammalian farm animal species (cattle, porcine, horses, sheep, ovine, caprine and avian species) and developed a series of farm animals iPSC reprogramming services.

Why choose us?

Farm Animals iPSC Reprogramming Service

To establish bona fide farm animal iPSCs, we have made many efforts and achieved some successes. For most of the farm animals, we can establish iPSCs that can reproduce for a long time and these iPSCs basically meet the criteria for EB and teratoma development, which are two standard tests for PSC pluripotency in vitro and in vivo. In addition, we help researchers to comprehensively assess the epigenomic differences between farm animal iPSC, ESC or ICM in embryos to accelerate their studies towards complete reprogramming.

Applications

  • Research on the mammalian embryonic development and differentiation
  • Improving farm animal reproduction and disease resistance
  • Improving the quality of meat and dairy products
  • Establishing a sustainable agricultural system

Service Principle

Creative Bioarray will take the needs of customers as the driving force for development to continuously expand a wide range of reprogramming services.
